OUR FOUNDER

Hans studied literature & philosophy and economics in Leuven, Brussels, Heidelberg and London. He holds a PhD in Literature & Philosophy (Heidelberg). Hans is director of Sustacon and part-time professor at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Antwerp. He has extensive board experience. Until 2019, he was Executive Director of EY Climate Change & Sustainability Services Belgium.

Hans has almost 15 years of experience in devising and improving processes and strategies, sustainability reporting and communication projects in Flemish and international companies, from SMEs to large family businesses. He enjoys working at boardroom level as much as on the factory floor.

Since 2017, Hans and his team support companies in sustainable growth, more margin and more impact under the brand name Sustacon

Hans has a passion for construction, Italian food, the seaside, surfing, art and literature and speaks 6 languages. He lives in Averbode, in the most southern part of the 'Kempen'. He is married and has three children (teenagers).
